Welcome to Delhi

"Welcome to Indira Gandhi International Airport Delhi. The outside temperature is 23 deg C....."
Why did the flight have to land so soon? I missed the climax of Singh is King..which I was watching on the inflight television. To be frank, the nervousness of a new city,a new job was just catching up on me.

How wrong could pre conceived notions be?Though I have travelled through Delhi many times on my way to Gurgaon, its just once or twice I've been to Delhi. And lo,there was no traffic.Might be because it is a Sunday.Or might be it is the coldest day of the year thats keeping people away I guessed.
My exploration of Delhi started the very evening with a visit to the best residential place in the world-Rashtrapati Bhavan. And a walk to India Gate. The weather was chilly out there, but with bhelpuri in hand and the company of Alok was more than enough to offset the weather.
Familiar face greeted me into my new office.Leaving job on friday and taking a new role on Monday it was just like "back to office" after a weekend.
Morning 9 am.Hardly a ray of sunlight.Hardly anybody on the streets.I wonder if the city awakes late everyday or is it just the climate.Only the future can tell.
Anyways, first impression about the city has been good. Not missing Bangalore at the moment.Might be the summers wil make me thirsty for the Garden City.

For those who know what I mean.I have no regrets leaving somethings behind. For those who dont know,it was just another attempt to add suspense to my blog.
